Cruz’s tweet came as another major storm swept across the Lone Star State.
John,
It’s been nearly three years since part-time senator Ted Cruz fled Texas for Cancun during what became one of the worst storms in the history of the state.
This week, as another major winter storm swept across the Lone Star State, Ted decided to take up a new career as a wannabe comedian. But as it turns out, he’s not very funny.

(We also wouldn't ever recommend joining Ted Cruz in Cancun.)
Let's be clear, John: It was never funny when Ted abandoned his constituents during one of the deadliest storms in state history, with record-cold temperatures and power outages, and it’s not funny now.
At the very least, we deserve a full-time senator who will prioritize Texans above all else and moreover, won’t flee the state when we need our elected officials most.
