The unprecedented situation around COVID-19 has led our team to take decisive action and suspend all in-person canvasses and events. While we’re all working remotely and practicing responsible social distancing, the work doesn’t stop.
I keep a close watch on the results of our voter contact data. That’s how we know we’re progressing toward our goal.

Hello team,

The unprecedented situation around COVID-19 has led our team to take decisive action and suspend all in-person canvasses and events. While we’re all working remotely and practicing responsible social distancing, the work doesn’t stop.

Please RSVP here to join our Organizing call this Sunday at 4:00 PM CST to learn about how our team is adapting to our new reality, and how we’re planning to hit our voter contact goals even while practicing social distancing.

Because of you, we were able to achieve historic turnout in District 25 -- for the first time ever, Democratic turnout exceeded Republican turnout, 52.7% to 47.3%. CD25 experienced the second-highest number of votes overall in any primary, second only to CD21.

Nothing in our campaign would have been possible without the shared passion and collective determination of our volunteers. And it’s going to take that same level of determination to continue to organize in our new reality -- as we will be organizing our hearts out using SMS tools, the Julie Dialer, and using bleeding-edge relational organizing tools.

CD25 is in a virtual tie for second place in Democratic turnout in Texas, along with CD10 (a DCCC-targeted race) and CD30 (Dallas county, which votes heavily Democratic).

Simply put, these numbers are astonishing. It means that organizing works. It means that the goal of registering and turning out more Democratic voters than any campaign in Texas history is within reach. And it means that District 25 is a national battleground.

But in order to ensure a victory in November, we can’t let off the gas now -- even in an unprecedented and uncertain time.

Join our organizing call Sunday at 4:00 PM CST, and we’ll see you soon.
