Please pray for a Peruvian family that lost their mom and her two-year-old son in an instance of violence. We have provided, through our implementing partners, food and basic necessities to the grandparents who will be raising their six-year-old grandchild who survived the attack. Please pray for the peace of God in the hearts of this family as they begin their journey of grieving and healing, as well as for God to guide us as to how we can further support them in their pursuit of justice.
South Asia
Pray for the small team deploying to study human trafficking in a new area of work. These local assessments take careful planning and tight security to keep our staff and partners safe. Pray for God’s protection and vision as they look for evidence of trafficking and other forms of abuse, which will help us advocate with local governments for change.
Asia Pacific
Praise God for the positive impact on survivors in a government shelter through IJM Malaysia's legal briefings! Last year, IJM Malaysia launched a program to provide legal briefings for trafficking survivors at the government men’s shelter in Melaka. These briefings are designed to educate survivors on the reasons for their stay in the shelter and Malaysia’s legal process for human trafficking cases. Given the language barriers and lack of legal literacy faced by many survivors in government shelters, these briefings offer newfound clarity and assurance. We are grateful for the increasing trust the government has placed in IJM, leading to the expansion of the program to other government-run shelters throughout Malaysia.

We lift in prayer the families and friends of two dear colleagues who have recently passed away, one in the United States and one in South Asia. We ask that God would grant them strength, comfort and solace during this challenging time, embracing them with His love and peace. We also pray for the IJM community, asking for unity and support as they mourn the loss of these beloved teammates.
