For those who don’t know, I spent my career working in biotech bringing life-saving treatments to market. I was on the frontlines during the HIV epidemic, and I have a unique perspective on our healthcare system and how it can and should respond to crises like this one.

What’s clear to me is that we need leaders in Washington who understand the healthcare system and are prepared to address these public health challenges as they emerge. That’s why I’m more determined than ever to win this House seat and be a part of the solution in Washington.

At this moment, we need representatives who have the experience and are committed to listening to scientists. We can’t risk electing folks like my opponent, Jay Obernolte, who has a history of opposing science and undermining public health solutions like vaccines. That’s just not what we need right now.
