This week, my bill, H.R.6714, Meaningful Access to Court Proceedings for Victims of Pan Am Flight 103 Act, passed the House and is off to the President's desk where it will be signed into law. Specifically, this bill will allow remote access to court proceedings for the surviving relatives of the 270 people killed, including 190 Americans and 33 New Jerseyans, in the 1988 terrorist attack on Pan Am Flight 103 that crashed above Lockerbie, Scotland.
The surviving family members should be able to access the court proceedings, regardless of their location, and witness those responsible for this attack be brought to justice. I am proud to have spearheaded the House version of this bill and the work my colleagues and I accomplished to ensure swift passage through both the House and the Senate.

This week, I joined Newsmax's Bianca de la Garza to discuss Hunter Biden's agreement to sit for a deposition in front of the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees if a new subpoena is issued and the discovery of an illegal substance in a gun pouch connected to Hunter Biden.

On November 13, 2023, I sent a letter to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Marcia Fudge requesting an immediate federal takeover of the Atlantic City Housing Authority for its failure in ensuring the safety of South Jersey residents. You can view that letter here.
On December 1, 2023, I sent a follow-up letter to Secretary Fudge. It is critical that HUD acts quickly to take over the Atlantic City Housing Authority before residents face winter without access to heat.
On December 7, 2023, I requested a phone call with Secretary Fudge. While HUD is now on the ground in Atlantic City, it is imperative that they mobilize all necessary resources and maintain transparent communication to provide safety and peace of mind.
On January 16, 2024, I sent a third letter, requesting that Secretary Fudge meet with Stanley Holmes residents and take immediate action to ensure the safety of residents. Since HUD has failed to make any impactful changes, I am asking that Secretary Fudge witness first-hand the unbearable conditions they are left with after Atlantic City leadership has failed them.

This week, I questioned Jeffrey Trucker, CEO of Tucker Company Worldwide, in a Transportation and Infrastructure Committee hearing titled, "The State of Transportation." The border crisis has gotten so bad that it is affecting our nation's supply chain. This past September and December, there were two separate shutdowns of international freight rail crossings at El Paso and Eagle Pass, Texas without any indication of when they would reopen. These closures were due to a historic influx of illegal migrants flooding into our communities.
My questions, directed at Mr. Tucker, focused on how these closures impact our security and supply chain. Over eight million illegal immigrants have entered our country, and in December alone, there were 300,000 illegal entries. This crisis is having detrimental effects across every industry and sector; it is past time this administration took decisive action and secured our border.

This week, in a House Judiciary Committee markup I spoke in support of H.R. 1508, the Traveler's Gun Rights Act of 2024. This bill allows active-duty servicemembers, their spouses, full-time RV travelers, and those without a permanent residence to legally purchase firearms with either a residential address or post office box number.
This bill would strengthen Second Amendment rights for RV travelers, active-duty military, military spouses, and others using a PO box as their residence, because currently the ATF mandates buyers to list a physical residential address when purchasing a firearm. Just because you have a non-traditional living arrangement does not mean you should be deprived of your Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms.

This week, I spoke on the House floor in support of H.Res 957, which denounces the Biden administration's open-border policies, condemns the national security and public safety crisis along the southwest border, and urges President Biden to secure our border.

In case you missed it, last week I announced that I directly requested and secured $10.3 million in community project funding that will deliver jobs and improve public safety in South Jersey.
Community Project Funding Secured: - $3,750,000 was awarded to Salem County to help upgrade the Salem County Courthouse. This project will expand the courthouse by nearly 100,000 feet and add important security features including ballistic glass, duress alarms, proper screening areas, handicap accessibility, and secure and separate parking for judges.
- $800,000 was awarded to the Atlantic City Police Department to expand their Citywide Cameras public safety program. This program will improve the ability of Atlantic City police officers to respond to and investigate crimes and public safety incidents across the city.
- $1,000,000 was awarded to the Atlantic City EnVision Center's Electric Installation and Cybersecurity Training Program. This program will train and employ dozens of South Jersey residents in support of the Atlantic City Police Department's public safety cameras initiative.
- $2,200,000 was awarded for safety improvements on Route 72 in Stafford Township, Ocean County. This will greatly improve public safety on Route 72, one of the most travelled highways in Ocean County.
- $1,000,000 was awarded to the Cumberland County Youth Violence Prevention program. This program will improve economic opportunities and reduce violent crime among young people in Cumberland County by offering support services for physical and mental health, academic success, and economic mobility.
- $550,000 was awarded to the Jewish Family Service for the "Boosting to Work" Initiative. This program will provide services to help South Jersey residents access job training, overcome barriers to employment, and increase household income. It will support small and large businesses by connecting qualified workers with employment opportunities.
- $1,000,000 was awarded to Atlantic Cape-Community College's "BizHub" program, which will serve existing businesses, new businesses, and residents of Cape May County seeking assistance and resources for exploring the opportunity to start a business in Cape May County.
