It may be a new year, but MAGA House Republicans haven’t made any meaningful progress in working together to keep our government open. 

For the third time in just over eight months, House Democrats’ votes guaranteed government funding would continue to keep needed programs and offices running to serve the American people. 

The Freedom Caucus’ tactics are stuck in the mud, even as their majority continues to shrink. In the final hour, this group of ultra-conservative extremists was pressuring the House Speaker to add an amendment to the funding bill that would have guaranteed a shutdown when our constituencies are relying on our support more than ever.

Our working families need a government they can rely on. They need leadership that puts people over politics. And that means that they need Democrats to take back the majority in the House.

With great power comes great responsibility, and Republicans have proven that they are not up for the job.

On February 13, we will take back the George Santos seat in NY-3 for Democrats. And in November, we will take back the House majority because of support from donors like you.
