We just posted the final version of our 2023 Humane Scorecard!

Our online scorecard is easily searchable by your location or the names of your members of Congress and shareable, so we hope you’ll take a moment and see where your federal legislators stood on a range of key animal protection issues, such as the Better CARE for Animals Act, the Humane Cosmetics Act, the Puppy Protection Act, and more. But even more importantly, 2024 is an election year and our moment to take our work to protect animals to bold new heights by urging elected leaders and candidates to embrace our agenda. You can start by using our scorecard to gauge whether your current legislators are standing up for animals, press those running for office on the issues, and then vote accordingly.

Now’s also the time to let your legislators know you’re paying attention: If they’re at the top of the class, thank them for being a champion for animals. If they have room for improvement, let them know, as their constituent, that animal protection issues are important to you, and you’ll be watching what they do in this Congress. Whether your legislators have scores of zero, 100+, or somewhere in between, they need to know that you care about their positions on animal protection issues and are paying attention to their performance. Your efforts to engage them meaningfully will produce even greater returns for animals in the future.
