Congressman Kim Renews Push to Ban Members of Congress from Trading Stocks

Americans deserve to have complete faith in the people they elect. Banning members of Congress from trading stocks is key to restoring trust. Congressman Kim was proud to co-lead a letter today to demand a vote on one of the many bills, including his own, that have been introduced to ban stock trading.

First Town Hall of 2024!

We were so excited to host our first town hall of the year and Congressman Kim’s 71st town hall in Hamilton. The conversation was focused on recently implemented savings on prescription drug prices for New Jerseyans, from the Inflation Reduction Act Congressman Kim helped pass, and the Congressman’s continued work to reduce everyday healthcare costs. Thank you to our special guest Taryn Krietzman, Registered Dietician Nutritionist, Community Health/Community Education, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (RWJUH Hamilton), for talking about the importance of lower insulin costs based on her personal and professional experience.

Congressman Kim also had the chance to celebrate a budding superstar and Rutgers – New Brunswick student with a Congressional Certificate at Friday's town hall! Deep has represented our nation on the world stage with the U.S. Cricket Team and is doing great work as founder of TEDx Hightstown.

Saturday marked Korean American Day, an important opportunity to reflect on the impact Korean American culture, history, and communities have had across our nation for over a century and will continue to have for the centuries to come.

Congressman Kim was honored to attend a ceremony on Sunday for the brave servicemembers from The 44th Infantry Brigade Combat Team as they prepared to deploy and express our shared gratitude for their sacrifice and service. We wish them luck for their success and safe return home.

Honoring MLK Jr. Day

On Monday, Congressman Kim was honored to join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Epsilon Upsilon Omega Chapter’s 43rd MLK Scholarship Breakfast again! Celebrating and empowering young leaders in our community was a wonderful way to start off the day.

Congressman Kim Celebrates Direct Funding for NJ Seniors’ Needs

Congressman Kim was proud to request federal funding for the local Brick, New Jersey seniors who needed a more reliable way to get to dialysis treatment. He was able to secure $250,000 through a federal spending bill and now, Brick Township launched their service for local seniors using two new dedicated shuttles for dialysis transportation, drivers, and medical aid.

Medical care should always be within reach in New Jersey. Congressman Kim is proud to have helped deliver seniors in Brick this essential and reliable service to get them to their treatments.

Visiting Long-Term Care Staff and Patients

Congressman Kim visited staff and patients at Total Rehab in Moorestown on Tuesday and discussed how much affordable, quality long-term care is an essential part of supporting local seniors.

In Congress, we work to uplift the workforce and resources that deliver this level of care.

Congressman Kim Hosts Social Media for Nonprofits Webinar

This week, our office hosted a webinar on expanding your audience and impact on social media. The conversation covered how to use social media as a tool to reach donors, volunteers, and clients, and featured Anysa Holder, Chief Advancement Officer for Easterseals New Jersey and the executive lead over advocacy, marketing, internal communications, customer support, and fundraising.

Nearly 50,000 Veterans Delivered Help in One Year

Mental healthcare access and veteran suicide prevention are critical issues for our veteran community and a top priority for Congressman Kim. Previously, Congressman Kim helped pass legislation and demanded increased funding for emergency suicide prevention care.

This week, it was announced that nearly 50,000 veterans were able to use emergency mental healthcare at zero cost thanks to a new program created through federal legislation. We are proud of this direct assistance and dedicated to helping the VA be there for as many veterans as possible. Learn more about available support through the VA.
