Iowa Caucus, State Convention and Amicus Brief       DEFENDING KANSAS SAVING AMERICA   DONATE VOLUNTEER The Friday File A Weekly Publication       Kansas Republican Party Leads Nation in SCOTUS Filing   The Kansas Republican Party, with 32 other Republican state and territory parties in the filing, took quick action and the lead position in preparing a bold and unique Amicus Brief filing to the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) on writ of certiorari to the Supreme Court of Colorado. Our collective argument is against Colorado's unilateral action to remove Donald J. Trump from their state ballot. The state and territory parties joining the KSGOP filing include; Our brief argues that any state or territory unilaterally removing any qualified candidate for President of the United States from their states ballot causes a harm to Republicans in all other states and territories. This obvious abuse of the Fourteenth Amendment reduces the likelihood of a candidate's overall success in accumulating delegates to win the Republican nomination for president of the United States of America. As the chairman of the Kansas Republican Party, I could not stand idly by and allow this injustice to prevail without a fight. And the American Patriot spirit of KSGOP BOLD CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP is guideling the way across America! Our attorneys, Chris McGowne and Craig Uhrich, are the amazing and talented Kansas lawyers who wrote our Amicus Brief. I want to express our most sincere gratitude to these men who spent endless hours making this possible often in the overnight hours so they could maintain their daily business and law responsibilities. Our attorneys penned a masterpiece and we are going to win this important argument! But… WE ARE STILL UNDER ATTACK. You know how vital it is to defeat the liberal agenda and secure our future for generations to come. With so much woke nonsense occurring across Kansas and America, I want to share this important milestone with you and to ask for your help. Would you stand shoulder to shoulder with me and the Kansas Republican Party as we continue our fight to preserve and defend our shared Kansas and American values and principles? CLICK ON THIS SECURE LINK SAVE AMERICA NOW!     Iowa Caucuses: Freezing Cold and White Hot When we departed Overland Park on Sunday morning for our drive, it was -5 degrees. When we arrived in Des Moines, IA, it was -18 with a strong North wind. But the frigid temps didn't deter huge crowds during the day and evening caucus-goers on Monday. And Donald Trump's ultimate historic triumph in the sub-zero temperature of the Iowa caucuses was an amazing feat to see in terms of political strength and campaign organization. With the entire world watching, President Trump served notice that he is strong, he is back, and he remains a massive political force. With attention now turned to the New Hampshire Primaries next week, where voters hold the key to shaping the competitive landscape of the Republican nominating contest, President Trump has a substantial lead over Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis Addressing a crowd, Trump emphasized he is in this race to Save America, showcasing poll standings and criticizing the disastrous Biden Presidency. President Trump, Governor DeSantis, and Ambassador Haley are campaigning for next week's New Hampshire Primary Election. New Hampshire's electorate, less religiously conservative and rural than Iowa, presents a challenge for DeSantis and Haley. Their failure to capitalize on these differences will allow President Trump to maintain his campaign momentum, rendering the rest of the Republican primary calendar a mere formality. Trump urges voter turnout, emphasizing the need to show unprecedented margins. Haley, aiming for a broad coalition, emphasizes New Hampshire as a potential springboard headed into her home-state South Carolina primary. DeSantis, aligning his campaign with Trumpian conservatism, must quickly regroup for New Hampshire after putting more stock in Iowa. Trump, touting his huge Iowa Caucus win, secured the endorsements of Vivek Ramaswamy and Senator Ted Cruz. Roughly 40% of New Hampshire voters without party affiliation are eligible to cast a Republican primary ballot, and new voters can register at the polls.   Field is Set for Kansas Presidentalial Preference Primary The deadline for the Kansas Presidential Preference Primary was January 19, 2024, at 12 noon, and four Republicans have successfully qualified. Their names will appear on the election day ballot on March 19, 2024. It is recommended that you check out their campaign websites before Election Day to make an informed decision. The Biden family has betrayed America, committing the crime of treason. They must be held accountable. Impeach Biden Now #NeverForget     The handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal under Joe Biden was widely criticized for its chaotic execution, erasing decades of women rights progress, leaving a global feeling of disillusionment and raising significant concerns about the disastrous impact on regional stability and global security.     Donate Now KSGOP CLICK HERE     JOIN THE 1776 CLUB TODAY! Join the 1776 Club CLICK HERE     Meet the Candidates KSGOP National Committeewoman and Committeeman     MARIA HOLIDAY I appreciate this opportunity to introduce myself, my name is Maria Holiday and I am currently the Chair of the Johnson County Republican Party. It is one of many roles I have held in Kansas politics. I was born in Wichita and raised in Ellinwood in Barton County. My family moved to Garden City when I was a sophomore. After high school, I graduated from St. Mary of the Plains in Dodge City with a degree in education. My husband's job brought us to Johnson County in 1992. Doc and I have three grown children, four granddaughters, and a lab mix named Ebony. I believe the Republican Party has a winning platform. “We The People,” must pull together to defend our country. I have and will continue to fight for truth! We need leadership who is not timid about promoting our platform. As your National Committeewoman, I will have a vote for new National leadership in 2025. I will vote for a leader that will listen to the grassroots. We need an RNC that can create excitement and hope for the future. We need the RNC to support conservative ideals, project political strength, and win the big races across America and Kansas. “We The People” are desperately waiting for an RNC that is not afraid to take ACTION! In addition to being the Johnson County Chair, I have been the Chair for the Kansas Republican Assembly, the secretary for the 3rd Congressional District, a grassroots coordinator for Phill Kline, a campaign volunteer for multiple campaigns, a campaign manager, and a candidate for public office. I am a 2007 graduate of the Eisenhower Women in Leadership Series. I am unabashedly pro-life, and I have always supported Republican leadership. In my first year as Johnson County Chair, our JCRP team rebuilt our website and added a campaign toolkit for candidates. We have established messaging recommendations, created precinct committee persons recruitment and training committees, held candidate training, and remodeled our office so our 2 dozen local Republican groups have a home large enough to hold their meetings and events. We doubled fundraising this year over last and got a record number of Republicans out to vote in a local election. If you want a National Committee Woman who gets things done - I’m your girl. I care about our country. I care about saving it. WENDY BINGESSER Wendy is currently serving as the Chair of the Third District Republican Party and previously served as the Chair of the Olathe Republican Party. She is a graduate of the Eisenhower Series and a member of the KFRW. In 2020, she personally knocked the entirety of four critical Kansas House districts and won them all. These wins allowed Republicans to keep their supermajority and deliver on key proposals. As a Johnson County Charter Commissioner, Wendy won a battle to keep the sheriff an elected office and blocked a radical proposal for a public health and safety governing board. Wendy is a mother, wife, K-State alumna, and proud Kansas conservative. Blessings, Wendy Dr. Mark Steffen My life has been a series of events preparing me for these times. Husband, father, physician, farmer, oil & gas producer, general contractor: my specialty has been tackling new challenges head on, and with God’s grace…. successfully. In the spirit of servant leadership, I ask for your support for Kansas Republican Party National Committeeman. As an elected County precinct committeeman, District Delegate, State Delegate, and Kansas State Senator, I have led the grassroots’ charge back to the CONSTITUTION, our FREEDOMS, and the TRUTH. I pledge to promote our Kansas Republican Party Platform unapologetically from “Sea to Shining Sea”. UNITY is ultimately found within our values and principles, it’s also where success resides and where a true “Red Wave” begins. The RNC struggles to define what they stand for as their thinking is frequently usurped by big-money donors committed to their selfish interests. Endorsements: the approval I seek is from WE THE PEOPLE, while they are rarely famous, they are Kansas’ greatest asset. My heart and soul are firmly planted in the Kansas Grassroots. A vote for me will be a vote for a Republican revival, a resurgence. I WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!! See my resume at SteffenForKansas.com. Facebook: Dr. Mark Steffen. Cell: 620-802-1188 MARK KAHRS Helping elect solid conservatives to office and advancing the America First agenda has been a lifelong endeavor for me. My most valued political experience is what I've gained as a grassroots activist working with conservatives to elect Republicans. I've served as: Precinct committeeman Field Director for Todd Tiahrt for Congress Kansas GOP State Committee Delegate Sedgwick County Republican Central Committee Chairman Kansas Fourth District Republican Treasurer Kansas Fourth District Chairman Kansas State Representative Vice Chair of the Kansas Republican House Campaign Committee I’ve helped maintain a Republican majority in the Kansas House, fought to keep our Republican primaries closed, recruited conservatives to run for office, and raised money for candidates and conservative initiatives. As a member of the RNC, I am working to strengthen the integrity of our elections and to build conservative coalitions. It’s critical work I hope to continue. My decades of service to the Republican Party helped me earn the support of three of Kansas's Republican Congressional District Chairs – Laura Francis, Eric Rucker, and Debbie Luper. I hope to earn your support as well.     Meet the Candidates Kansas College Republicans Garrett Henson My name is Garrett Henson and I am from Valley Falls, KS. I am currently a criminal justice major at Washburn University and I am running for Chair of the Kansas Federation of College Republicans. I am running for this position because it has been made clear to me that young conservatives across the state are ready for change. I look to boost College Republican membership across the state and fight for our shared conservative values in 2024!     2024 January 26-28 Celebrating Kansas Day!
