Donald Trump wins Iowa Republican caucus

 
 
 
Former President Donald Trump won the Iowa Republican caucus with 51% of the vote. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis placed second with 21%, followed by former South Carolina Governor and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley with 19% and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy with 8%. No other candidate received more than 1% of the vote.

Twenty-one states have laws on how legislators, secretaries of state, or other election officials write the question or description of a ballot measure.

The average readability score between 2017 and 2023 was 18.5 years of education—roughly akin to the reading level of a second-year graduate school student.
