Team, enough is enough.

There have already been over twelve mass shootings recorded this year, and it’s only January.

As much as we want to say we can’t believe it, we can. We have an epidemic of gun violence on our hands, and “thoughts and prayers” are not going to solve it. Gun violence continues to be preventable, but causes immeasurable grief across our country.

For years, Democrats like Lori have fought to reinstate the Assault Weapons Ban to stop the sale of weapons of war that have been used in so many mass shootings since the ban expired in 2004. However, the corporate gun lobby and NRA have stood firmly in the way of this commonsense gun safety legislation time and time again.

We have to do something to stop these shootings from happening, and that means reinstating the Assault Weapons Ban.
