Last month, Joe shared that the GAP Foundation Financing Program launched for low to middle income families to receive financial assistance to repair damages caused by crumbling foundations. The remediation and restoration program received $2 million in federal funding. READ MORE>>

Joe announced that the UConn Solid Ground extension program would receive almost $750,000 in federal funding to support the next generation of Connecticut farmers. The program was designed to offer technical trainings, education, and connections for ‘beginning’ farmers with less than 10 years of experience. READ MORE>>

Joe voted to advance 2 bipartisan bills that would help Electric Boat and employers recruit qualified workers across the region. The bills will provide additional investments into programs funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act to make training opportunities more affordable and strengthen the relationship between the workforce and employers in northeastern Connecticut.
