Senate Democrats just announced a bipartisan deal to lift 400,000 kids out of
poverty. By expanding the child tax credit once again, we'll ensure parents have

In 2021, our American Rescue Plan temporarily expanded the child tax credit and
reduced child poverty to a historic low.

But then it expired, and Republicans have refused to take action to expand the
child tax credit once again.

This new, bipartisan deal is a sensible, targeted policy that directly helps our
country's lowest-earning families by expanding the child tax credit. There's
absolutely no reason to oppose it -- but MAGA Republicans are doubling down on
their cruelty.
