John,
As we gear up for the 2024 State legislative session, we want to take a look at what our state leadership has been up to, and what they have accomplished for you .
In 2023, we saw our congressional delegation secure historic funding to improve our state's infrastructure . From railways to waterways and bridges to bike lanes, Nutmeggers will see improvements across the state in our transportation network.
These improvements go beyond transportation though, to include preservation measures for our natural spaces, shorelines, and waters and investments in sustainable solutions. We want to give a sincere thank you to Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, as well as Representatives John Larson, Joe Courtney, Rosa DeLauro, Jim Himes, and Jahana Hayes for their hard work and dedication.
Your Connecticut leadership recognizes the importance of our environment and continues to fight against corporate polluters. Our Attorney General William Tong earned a major victory against ExxonMobil last fall, and continues to fight to protect residents from environmental and health pollutants.
And all of your leaders, from the state legislature to the governor's office, are fighting for reproductive rights. This summer, Governor Lamont signed a series of bills protecting our personal healthcare decisions. These laws include increasing access to reproductive health care in colleges and universities, allowing pharmacists to prescribe birth control, protecting medical providers from adverse action from another state, and protecting the health data of patients.
Connecticut Democrats will continue to fight for you at every level of government in 2024 and beyond. We hope you will continue to show your support for our work with a donation of $5, $10, $50, $100, or any amount, today. [[link removed]]
Sincerely,
Your CT Dems
