Breastcancer.org

To our community,

During these unprecedented times, Breastcancer.org will continue to do what we do best: help you make sense of the complex and sometimes quickly evolving information you need to understand to make the best decisions about your health and connect you with each other for support and community.

Our team is working hard to follow the facts, talk to knowledgeable experts, and break down what you need to know right now about COVID-19. We are committed to being here for you throughout this developing situation with regularly updated information about the coronavirus and its impact on your life.

Here are a few resources we've prepared most recently to cut through the noise and help keep you informed:

Coronavirus: What People with Breast Cancer Need to Know summarizes the most critical information that people with breast cancer and their loved ones should know about who is at risk, how you can protect yourself, and what to do if you think you may be sick. It also includes a special video message from our Founder and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Marisa Weiss.

COVID-19 and Breast Cancer: What We Know Now is a new episode of The Breastcancer.org Podcast featuring virologist Dr. Angela Rasmussen, Ph.D., an associate research scientist in the Center for Infection and Immunity at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Listen to learn more about COVID-19 and what it means for people affected by breast cancer.

Managing Loneliness and Anxiety During This Time of Social Distancing is another new special podcast episode featuring a conversation with Kelly Grosklags, L.C.S.W. who offers advice about how we can manage feelings of loneliness and isolation while practicing social distancing or self-quarantine.

And as always, we encourage you to join the community discussion on COVID-19 — a place you can safely connect with others to feel less alone, ask questions, or talk about the impact this virus is having on your life.

Importantly, we want to better understand how the coronavirus crisis is impacting your treatment. Please help us to better serve the breast cancer community by sharing your stories, comments, and questions with us at [email protected] or on our community discussion forums.

Just one last important note: I have been deeply moved by the outpouring of compassion and support that so many of you are sharing with us and with each other. Thank you.

With heartfelt wishes for your safety and well-being,
