Dear Friend,

Yesterday at the State House, we announced our priorities for the 2024 legislative session with partners in Maine’s Environmental Priorities Coalition! We were joined by lawmakers, advocates, and activists from around the state to unveil a slate of policies that will advance climate action, further environmental justice, protect biodiversity and the environment, and cultivate healthy Maine communities.

The coalition’s six priorities for 2024 include:
- Recognizing tribal self-determination
- Advancing environmental justice for all
- Securing the future of forests in Maine
- Rethinking natural gas to protect health, climate, and ratepayers
- Ending the sale of flavored tobacco products
- Protecting Maine’s landmark PFAS products law

Pushing these policies forward will take all of us, and we need your help. Will you commit to taking action on EPC priorities? [[link removed]]

PLEDGE TO TAKE ACTION [[link removed]]

We are starting 2024 in a strong position, but getting new legislation passed won't be without challenges: lawmakers have many competing priorities and our opponents are working to stall or derail efforts to protect the environment. We're counting on help from you and other members and activists around the state to build grassroots support and make sure legislators know just how many Mainers care about tackling the climate crisis, advancing environmental justice, and protecting treasured lands and waters.

Thanks for everything you do,
