[link removed] [[link removed]]→ In February, Ami reintroduced legislation to simplify Health Care enrollment. As the former Chief Medical Officer for Sacramento County, Ami is committed to make health care accessible to all families. This bill will allow Americans to enroll in coverage as they file their tax returns. This bill is essential to helping the millions of Americans that are still uninsured because of the barriers of enrollment.
→ Ami reintroduced the bipartisan HERO Act to ensure that our country’s first responders and health care workers have access to mental health resources. Our first responders deal with dangerous and traumatic situations everyday serving our communities. They face an elevated risk of suicide and we owe it them to provide the support and assistance that they deserve.
→ Ami helped introduce a bill to ensure insurance companies fully cover over-the-counter birth control without any out-of-pocket costs. With the FDA’s historic approval of the first-ever over-the-counter birth control pill, our next step is to guarantee it is affordable for all. As a doctor, Ami is determined to safeguard reproductive rights, especially as they continue to come under attack from the far-right.
→ Ami secured millions in federal funding for an expansion project at the Sacramento International Airport. Ami wants to foster accessibility. These funds enhance and modernize the airport infrastructure for all travelers.
→ By the end of 2023, Ami's office surpassed $17 million in earned federal benefits owed to Sacramento County families. Since 2013, Ami’s office has worked to resolve thousands of cases to make sure residents were given the proper assistance.
→ Ami secured $32 million for the 2023 fiscal year funding infrastructure, water and community safety projects. Ami knows it is essential to strengthen our local economy and invest in our local businesses and families.
→ Ami’s bipartisan End TB Now Act of 2023 unanimously passed the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Tuberculosis is a leading infectious disease killer worldwide, killing nearly 2 million people in 2021. As a doctor, Ami has witnessed the devastating impact of the disease and is dedicated to eradicating tuberculosis globally.

John, these are just a few highlights of Ami’s work… and there’s still a lot more coming up in 2024!

He couldn’t do them without you—your support is critical to ensuring we continue to win elections and, come this November, take back the House! Will you please chip in $15 to stand with Ami right at the start of the election year? [[link removed]]
