We’re writing you with an important invite to join a No Labels Zoom call this Monday, March 23 at 12:30pm Eastern. No Labels has been in touch with several Senate offices this morning and we wanted to provide you with an important update on where things stand in D.C. The Senate plans to finalize its massive COVID-19 relief bill by this evening, with a vote scheduled for Monday. Senators McConnell and Schumer and Treasury Secretary Mnuchin are the essential negotiators who will shape this today. Our intel suggests that the draft Senate CARES bill released last night – which many people believe is insufficient to the challenge at hand – will change significantly over the course of today. And remember that any Senate bill must eventually be merged with a House version. Yesterday, the House Problem Solvers Caucus released their own “Health Care Crisis and Economic Revival” package, which No Labels believes is excellent model for both the House and Senate to follow. You can read its details here. Things are changing fast and we wanted to all gather all of you on Monday to discuss the weekend’s developments. If you can join us on Monday at 12:30PM ET, please RSVP here. Sincerely, Team No Labels P.S. Next Thursday March 26, No Labels will be hosting a Zoom call with the House Problem Solvers and their Senate colleagues from both sides of the aisle. On Thursday night, we will hold a follow up Zoom call for No Labels Members to fill you in. More details will be coming on our call this Monday at 12:30. | |
