There are a lot of complicated problems facing this country with no clear answers. This isn't one of them.

In 2019, over 50 years after the Equal Pay Act was passed, women are still being paid just 81 cents on the dollar, and the disparity is even worse for women of color.

We're not sure how much more plainly we can state it: Women deserve equal pay for equal work.

This isn't just an issue of fairness. The pay gap is hurting our economy and punishing families with women as the primary breadwinners, including single mothers.

Earlier this year, Ben proudly voted for the Paycheck Fairness Act to end wage inequality and discrimination. But like so many other critical bills, it is stuck in Mitch McConnell's Senate.
