First, of course, there’s Donald Trump. The twice-impeached, criminally-indicted former president who undermined our democracy, supported an insurrection on our Capitol, and worked with foreign leaders to conspire against our own government.

Then, there’s Lauren Boebert — a QAnon conspiracy theorist and anti-abortion extremist.

Here’s Mikie’s new GOP opponent with Kari Lake — former candidate for governor of Arizona who is a darling of the MAGA movement for her refusal to concede her election loss (just like Donald Trump).

And how could we forget Matt Gaetz? There’s room for one more in this clown car of extremists, especially for someone who’s endorsed the white supremacist Great Replacement conspiracy theory.

Team, take these all together, and it’s clear: Mikie’s GOP opponent is as MAGA as they come.

We know that National Republicans will spend down to their last dollar to hold on to their razor-thin majority. We know that Donald Trump has said he’ll make a “heavy play” for New Jersey ahead of Election Day. And we know that the key to stopping them is a strong grassroots team.
