Taking care of your loved ones during coronavirus times

Hi friend,

You have probably received many emails regarding the coronavirus, and believe me, this stuff can be overwhelming. While we do need to keep fighting for justice, we also need to make sure that our hearts and bodies have what they need to thrive.

At UWD, we care about every one of our members, so I wanted to make sure that you got these resources that we created to help you take care of yourself, your family, and your community. We want you to stay healthy, decrease stress and even learn how to make your own hand sanitizer. 😊

I’ve talked to people who are worried about their relatives and friends not taking this pandemic seriously. So how do you have that conversation with your grandmas and friends? We created a guide of what some of us did and hope it’s helpful to you too.

In the middle of this pandemic, there is a lot of misinformation and fear being spread in regards to seeking medical assistance. If you feel sick, with symptoms of fever and dry cough, do not be afraid to seek medical assistance and call a doctor first. Check out this list of undocu-friendly care centers in your area:

I am sure you saw in the news that people were panicking and ended up buying up all the toilet paper, hand sanitizer and soap. Jenny from our UndocuHealth team can teach you how to make hand sanitizer at your home with just a few simple ingredients.

It’s so important that our bodies and minds are as healthy as possible. Check out these infographics on stuff that your body needs to have a strong immune system and how to reduce COVID-19 anxiety.

We care about you and your loved ones. By taking care of each other, we will get through this!

Stay healthy,

Daniela and the rest of the UWD Team
