Critical Context: Biden administration officials appear to be worried about an imminent "wider war," heedless that the wider war has already begun on Oct. 7. Biden and his advisors need to wake up and start thinking strategically about defeating Iran's coalition. Until a sane government replaces the Iranian regime there will be no peace and security for anyone in the Middle East. 
The Final Word: Bottom line, Biden and the West must get serious with answering Iran with deterrents. A policy of no deterrents is proving to be a losing one.

John Bolton on News Nation: John Bolton told Leland Vittert that the strikes by U.S. and UK forces against the Houthis were long overdue. Before these strikes, the Houthis were not deterred. Yes, you read that right - a rogue rebel group - not a state mind you, has not to this point been deterred by the greatest country in all the world. 
Critical Context: Biden had done nothing up to this point. Yet, it appears he may be starting to act because more and more of the concerned public is waking up that something drastic has to change when it comes to our broader strategy in the Middle East. 

The Final Word: Biden and his advisors need to understand this truth: until we strike Iran, and not just proxies like the Houthis, this type of conflict is bound to continue.

John Bolton on Sky News: John Bolton outlined there is an ongoing regional conflict between Iran and the West much larger than Israel and Hamas. Things have escalated so much that Iran has now been emboldened to capture an oil tanker under our direct supervision, the St. Nikolas.
Critical Context: Iran has never been deterred by Biden and our allies. That’s why Iran is now going even further than it ever has before. This time capturing the St. Nikolas, that Iran knew was under the direct supervision of the U.S. Department of Justice specifically.

The Final Word: To answer Iran, Biden needs to start putting in place deterrence that make them think twice before directly assaulting vessels tied to the U.S. and our allies. We won’t hold our breath on this one.
