To our Health Leads community,

We never thought we would start a mass communication to all of our partners with: Are you ok? Yet here we are, at this unprecedented moment, writing to you with genuine concern for each of you, your loved ones and your communities.

We know that many of you are on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, directly supporting those who are sick or at risk. We know others are working behind the scenes in a range of different ways - designing public health protocols, providing much-needed essential resources, or working with families who are struggling financially. Words cannot express how deeply we appreciate your work and the sacrifice you are making to protect, care for and heal us all.

This public health crisis has dramatically exposed what we all know too well - how the failure of our systems to work together and the inequities that pervade them create life-threatening barriers to our health, dignity and well-being. But we also know with certainty that our systems can work together better, for everyone, and many of you are making that happen right now, even if by sheer will.

The team here is working even more closely with our health system, community and funding partners across the U.S. to respond to this crisis, both in the short and long term, with all the resources at our disposal. We will do everything in our power to ensure that this pandemic becomes a turning point to forever change how we build and protect health in this country.

In the meantime, we recognize that the current abundance of information can be overwhelming, and we will continue to share resources others have recognized as the most helpful in this moment. We also have a one-question survey ([link removed]) to help us better understand each of your needs right now. See below for our first set of guidance, with more to follow.

Please stay tuned for our next steps, which we’re considering both carefully and quickly, and which we hope you will join in some way. Most importantly, please take care of yourselves and your loved ones, and reach out if there is anything we can do to help.
With gratitude,
Alexandra Quinn, CEO
