[1]U.S. Senator Chris Murphy

This is a big deal:

The Department of Justice just blocked a merger between JetBlue and Spirit airlines.

It’s another win for consumers as part of the Biden Administration’s efforts to ramp up antitrust enforcement.

For too long, billion dollar corporations have been allowed to use monopoly powers to screw consumers, and too many in Washington were afraid to challenge them.

The days of rampant consolidation and anticompetitive behavior are over. But we’re just getting started. We need your help to keep the pressure on.

If you agree it’s time to break up anti-competitive monopolies and put an end to harmful corporate consolidation, please add your name to mine today.

The work done by the Biden Administration’s FTC and DOJ is an important and underreported change that is shifting the balance of power toward regular people.

Monopolies lead to higher prices, less privacy and lower quality, and we don’t get a choice in it. They also harm workers by keeping wages down and forcing unfair labor practices.

Costs are too high, and wages are too low. But antitrust policy is an important means to give all of us more power in this equation.

Add your name to say you believe it’s time to break up monopolies and demand stronger enforcement of antitrust laws.

This is an important tool in our fight to shift the balance of power from billion dollar companies to working people.

Thank you for adding your voice to mine.

Every best wish,

Chris Murphy
