Scrolling through social media and watching the news, what's stuck out to me most is how ready and willing people are to help each other. Americans have extended a (metaphorical) hand to their friends, family, neighbors, and strangers in need.

One of the ways you can be of service right now is by engaging in our democracy. Of course, nothing is more important than making sure you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. But civic participation and electing competent officials committed to progressive change is the only long-term path out of this crisis -- and we need your help to do it.

Our team has been hard at work building a program of actions you can take from home. Here are some examples:

* Text eligible voters to get them to register to vote on time, and give them the information on how to vote when it matters.
* Attend a virtual house party where you can join other Stand Up America members in calling potential voters and explaining the stakes of this election.
* Send letters with filled-out voter registration forms to potential voters all over the country.
* Use our new and exciting tools to check on your friends -- to see their voter registration status and to inform them about how they can still vote, even if they are at home.
