The number of students experiencing poor mental health is growing. One way to increase access to mental health supports in schools is to take advantage of school nurses' expertise and existing connections to students.

The Mathematica blog, School Nurses Are on the Frontlines of Student Mental Health, coauthored by NASN's Elizabeth Clark, discusses the critical role that school nurses play in supporting the mental health of students, families, schools, educators, and communities and how schools can build a more integrated and aligned system of care.

The National Center for Children’s Vision and Eye Health at Prevent Blindness is holding monthly interactive virtual Office Half-Hours hosted by Kay Nottingham Chaplin, EdD, who has nearly 23 years of experience in the vision screening field.
