John, service has been the guiding principle of my life. If there is one lesson that generations of my family have taught me, it’s the value of service and giving back.
I also learned from a young age the value of hard work, and that the American Dream is not just a slogan, but a promise. As the son of a Sudanese immigrant, I grew up in rural southwest Minnesota but would work my way to Harvard Law School and eventually the United States Marine Corps.
I took the lessons of hard work and service with me everywhere I went. I’m passionate about my Christian faith, and was heavily involved in the campus Christian ministry at my college. I also held a leadership position at our campus Republican club.
Eventually, while at Harvard Law School, I made the decision to join the United States Marine Corps and served my country on active duty for over four years.
Most recently, I’ve been working as a prosecutor going after criminals here in Minnesota. It’s made me see firsthand the sad and deadly results of failed, soft-on-crime leadership…
So that’s why I’m making it my mission to bring about a change in leadership here in my home state.
I’m running for Congress to fight for safer communities, to put an end to Bidenomics that has made life unaffordable for too many families, to get our debt and deficit under control, and to ensure safety and prosperity for all Minnesotans.
If that’s a mission you can get behind – then I would be grateful to have your support along the way.
Stay tuned for more updates from me and my team, and thank you again for joining us!
For Minnesota and America,
Joe Teirab (R-MN)
