Hi there, it's Kate, Debbie's campaign manager. If you didn't know already, today is Debbie's birthday! To celebrate Debbie, will you let me tell you a bit about who she is and why I'm so proud to work for her?
From the first moment that I met Debbie, I knew she was one of a kind. And when she told me she was running for Senate, I knew that I needed to do absolutely everything that I could to get her elected.
Debbie is the real deal. She has spent her entire life fighting for her family, her community, and our country. She came to America when she was only 14 and she worked tirelessly to give her family their American Dream. She put herself through college, found a passion for serving her community, and spent years working for nonprofits in Florida.
Eventually, that commitment to service led her to run for Congress. With hard work and a powerful message of unity, Debbie flipped a district from red to blue, unseating a Republican incumbent, and became the first South American immigrant ever elected to Congress. Once she got to Washington, Debbie got to work on the biggest problems facing her community back home. She fought to expand Medicare, create legislation to protect the environment, lower the cost of living, end gun violence, and so much more.
Now, Debbie's running for Senate because she knows that Florida and the families who call this state home deserve better than Rick Scott. And trust me on this, she has what it takes to win.
Debbie is one of the hardest-working candidates that I've ever met. Seriously, I mean she's running for one of the most competitive Senate seats in the entire country, all while raising her kids, being her mom's caretaker, and keeping everything else afloat!
Debbie is also incredibly kind, open-hearted, and genuine. She takes the time to listen to every single voter we meet and hear about the problems facing families. She carries their stories with her each day. But don't let her kindness fool you: Debbie has a backbone of steel. She's a relentless, bold, and proven fighter for progress. She's in this race to deliver results — and she knows what it's going to take to get the job done.
I'm incredibly grateful to have this opportunity to help elect Debbie to the Senate. Today, on her birthday, I hope that you'll join me in celebrating Debbie and everything that we're fighting for together.
Thank you,
Kate (Debbie's campaign manager)

P.S. I know that Debbie is the candidate who can finally flip Florida blue. But we need strong grassroots support to compete with Rick Scott's massive fortune and give voters a chance to meet Debbie. Will you chip in $5 to help me celebrate Debbie's birthday and make sure that our campaign can reach the voters who will decide this election?
