Justice Democrats

John,

A new report from The Guardian reveals just how pervasive the anti-Palestinian lobby is in American politics and our government’s foreign policy:

Revealed: Congress backers of Gaza war received most from pro-Israel donors. Guardian analysis finds top recipients of pro-Israel contributions in last elections were centrist Democrats who defeated progressives in primaries

The Israel lobby, including right-wing funded groups like AIPAC and Democratic Majority for Israel, spent $58 million on campaign contributions to members of Congress last year alone.

The lobby is so influential in Congress that only 33 current members (including our Squad) didn’t take money from them.

It turns out that supporting the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza pays off for those in Washington: The Guardian reports, “Congress members who were more supportive of Israel at the start of the Gaza war received over $100,000 more on average from pro-Israel donors during their last election than those who most supported Palestine.”

This dark money poisons our democracy, and it’s one of the main reasons most members of Congress don't represent the majority of Americans who want a ceasefire. The anti-Palestinian lobby is buying unconditional support and military aid for Israel’s government as we speak.

Justice Democrats is fighting back against this dark money and going up against groups like AIPAC, who plan to spend $100 million to unseat the Squad this year.

With Democratic primary elections getting closer each day and our Justice Democrats incumbents keeping up the fight for a ceasefire, will you pitch in $3 or anything you can afford to help us re-elect them to Congress?

Contribute $3

We’ve been outspent before, but with your grassroots support, we successfully elected progressive champions like AOC and Cori Bush — with your help, we can re-elect them and continue building the bloc this year.

Thanks for all you do to fuel our fight,

Justice Democrats

Do not worry if you cannot afford to make a contribution — we understand that this is a difficult time.

There are other ways to make an impact in support of peace and equality in Israel and Palestine: please urge your member of Congress to support a ceasefire through Adalah Justice Project’s petition or by calling them using Jewish Voice for Peace’s dialer here. Your voice matters in this critical moment.
