Working families in California are facing an affordability crisis, John. And I’m releasing a plan today that outlines what I’m going to do about it in the U.S. Senate.
I’m sharing my affordability agenda, which includes dramatic steps to drive down costs in California and across the country. Before you learn about these plans, will you pitch in to help send me to the Senate to make these plans a reality?

John, it’s not that people aren’t working hard – they’re working harder than ever, and still not making enough to get by. They’re paying more for housing, childcare, gas, medicine, education and food. And their wages simply aren’t increasing fast enough to keep up with the basic costs of living. Meanwhile, corporations continue to make record profits, all while those same corporations and the wealthiest among us don’t pay their fair share.
My plan outlines how we’re going to:
- Make childcare affordable and accessible
- Increase corporate competition, stop price gouging, and reduce gas and grocery costs
- Enact paid family leave for all
- Create a robust care economy to provide and fund care for our elderly and sick
- Make our tax system fairer
- Expand the social safety net for vulnerable families
- Lower the cost of education
This is a big, bold plan. And I’m going to fight like hell to make it a reality in the Senate.
These policies will help fix systemic inequalities and make our economy work for us all, not just the wealthy few.
John, read the full plan on my website here.
Thanks for reading more about my plans for the U.S. Senate. I’m determined to make the economy work for everyone, and I’m honored to have you by my side in this fight.
