John,
It’s only been four days since the tragic back-to-back shootings in El Paso and Dayton and a spate of gun violence in Chicago. We must channel our outrage into action and let elected officials know we’re not going away.
Since this weekend, we’ve been demanding Congress return from its recess and pass gun laws that will save lives.
So far, Mitch McConnell has refused to bring back the Senate to address our epidemic of gun violence. Brady has generated over 10,000 calls to his office demanding he brings everyone back to work and pass life-saving laws.
And if they don’t act, we will march.
John, our organizing team is already in contact with volunteers and activists in Kentucky - to put pressure on McConnell - and across the country. If Congress refuses to act, we will make our voices heard loud and clear!
But we need your help to keep up the fight. We need things like T-shirts and signs for those marching, we need to cover plane flights to get our staff on the ground in many of these places, we need funds to pay for permits, and other items for our grassroots volunteers. Every dollar you give helps fund the fight against gun violence>>
Mitch McConnell, Trump, the NRA, and all the other forces aligned against us think we’re going to go away. They think that the news will move on, that we’ll get too tired to continue. But they’re wrong. We’re not going anywhere because lives are on the line.
Help us now and fund the fight!
Jaime
