Things look different than they did before — but I still need to share this with you. //

John,

When I first circled March 31st on my calendar a few weeks ago, things were very different than they are now.

Our team was all working together at NDP HQ, our MPs were pushing forward on a pharmacare bill in the House of Commons, there were stories other than COVID-19 in the news.

Now, our team is working from home, Parliament is suspended, and there’s a great deal of stress and anxiety. But like many of you, we still have bills to pay and deadlines to meet during this time. With everything that’s going on, it’s difficult to ask for support — but I still want to be honest with you about our upcoming fundraising deadline so you know where we’re at. You might not be in a position to give today, and that’s entirely OK.

If you are able to keep supporting our work, a donation of $3 or more before the March 31st fundraising deadline will go a long way to keeping us strong and ready to fight for you.

Quarterly filing deadlines like this one are important, especially in a minority government. Jagmeet and our team will continue to work on getting results for Canadians — like universal pharmacare. Strong fundraising numbers help because they show the government that our efforts have the support of the people.

But the need goes well beyond optics — fundraising is literally what sustains us as a party. Our efforts and operations are entirely funded by people like you chipping in what you can. It’s how we fuel our work to give a voice to everyday Canadians, and that has never been more important.

If you can, please consider donating $3 or more before March 31st:

Thanks, John. Take good care of yourself and each other.
