Hello, I’ve always been guided by the values I was raised with in Minnesota. I am the daughter of a newspaperman and a teacher and the granddaughter of an iron ore miner who saved his money in a coffee can in the basement to send my dad to college.
No one expected me to run for elected office -- and not many people expected me to win either.
But thanks to supporters like you our grassroots movement beat the odds and I was elected to the U.S. Senate.
Every day since then I’ve been working hard to deliver progress. And I want you to know that I will never stop working to make life better for the American people.
Our grassroots team has helped me deliver real results to make Americans’ lives better. I led the effort to take on Big Pharma and finally end the ban on Medicare negotiating lower prescription drug prices. I also secured critical funding to expand broadband access in rural areas.
