Sign Now: Designate the Springfield Race Riot Site as a National
Monument

[link removed]

In 1908, one of the most violent race riots in our country's history
happened in Springfield, Illinois. The lasting impact on generations
of Black residents in Springfield and beyond often remains overlooked.
With less than a quarter of our national parks and monuments dedicated
to the history of marginalized and underrepresented communities,
please urge President Biden to designate this site as a national
monument today.

20 Parks Honoring Black History

[link removed]

From well-known treasures such as Martin Luther King, Jr. National
Historical Park in Atlanta to the unassuming engine house at
Murphy's Farm in Harper's Ferry, where abolitionist John
Brown and a small force of enslaved people took shelter in West
Virginia, TPL has helped preserve important Black history sites for
decades.

Mableton, the Showcase project isn't just a park; it's a vision come
to life, serving as proof of concept for the proposed 100-mile linear
park in the heart of one of America's largest metro regions.

Bringing Bridgeport Residents to the Waterfront

An ambitious movement is in place to develop a 20-mile pathway that
will line the city's waterways and shorelines-linking
Bridgeport residents to the waterfront in a meaningful way. Nearly
40,000 people live within a 10-minute walk of the proposed Bridgeport
Waterfront pathway.
