The Allegheny County Health Department has been without a director for a year now. The administration of new County Executive Sara Innamorato is finally looking to fill the "vital" position ([link removed]) .

While the county is still in the early stages of finding a new director, an advocacy coalition of dozens of organizations and individuals has asked the administration to consider hiring someone who prioritizes the social determinants of health.
