Hello, Friends!

They told me I should only send emails once a week, and I tried to keep a schedule and send out news with our weekly event emails.  I really tried!  But guys -- things are blowing and going so fast!  I'm barely keeping my head above water, so I'm nixing that idea.  I will just send you an email as I'm able so that you can stay updated.  And our scheduler Olivia (who is pure gold IMO) will send you the weekly events every Sunday like clockwork. 

So... what's been going on since early December when I last wrote a newsletter???  Oh, so much! 

• We've been adding to our voting recommendations list.  You can find those here.  It is currently changing OFTEN, and by Monday I hope to have flyers for every satellite able to be downloaded and printed.  You can pass those out to friends and when you canvas your precinct or walk for a candidate.  You can also share the link all over social media or via text messages.  Get it out there!  Folks know who they want for President, but most are clueless how to pick someone for judge or constable or other lesser known offices.  Help 'em out!
• Our Day of Action plans are being finalized.  Make sure you're setting aside Saturday, Jan 27 for that.  We want to show Texas that True Texans mean business in Election 2024!
• Remember our lawsuit?  No?  That's because we filed it over 2 years ago! Back in 2021, the wording on a ballot proposition was intentionally misleading.  Texans had already voted down the tax increase previously, so the legislature reworded it to hide the increase and asked you to vote again.  Surprise - it passed!  [sarcasm] Those dirty politicians didn't even try to hide the fact that they were fooling the voters.  They literally schemed publicly to do their deceiving.  So we, along with our good friends at TURF and with GAWTP, sued the Texas Secretary of State for misleading ballot language.  That case was heard last week, and we'll see if we get justice.  You can read about last week in The Texan here.  Or if you want a primer on the lawsuit, what it's about, and how it's progressed, read it in layman's terms here.

• Why do Fran and I look so fRaZZleD in the picture above?  Watch the video and find out!  Oh, ok... I'll just tell you.  We are launching a podcast! The goal is to help us reach MORE True Texans who do not have a satellite location near them to meet up with.  I imagine the first couple episodes will be rough as Fran and I find our groove, but we'll get there!  Hey... we are all just regular, every day, grassroots folks doing whatever we can to save Texas.  Check it out on Feb 2.  Our first guest is Attorney General Ken Paxton!  Subscribe to our YouTube channel now so that you'll get notifications when it posts.
