Come learn what's in store for 2024

San Francisco has always been a boom and bust town. From the Gold Rush to the Great Quake and Fire, from the dot com bubble to the tech boom, this city has seen meteoric rises and stunning crashes that are woven into its history.

The past few years have been no different, as COVID deeply impacted the City with many people leaving. But all indications are people are coming back because they want to be in San Francisco. What's different this time?

Our city has to build a ton of new homes in the next few years and there are a lot of new laws to help lead us towards housing abundance. Come learn about what's changed this time around as we move out of the doom loop and into the boom loop

Volunteer for YIMBY candidates this Saturday!

SF Democrats for Change are knocking doors this Saturday to get the word out about why they are running for the Democratic Party Central Committee (DCCC).

We endorsed 22 of the 24 candidates on their slate, and we'll be getting out the word to support our endorsed candidates this weekend on Jan 20 from 10 am to 4 pm in North Beach. Let's show up for our candidates

Why the DCCC matters

One of the most important thing you can do right now for San Francisco is make sure you’re a registered Democrat, and make a plan to vote in the March 5th election. Why? Because winning seats in the DCCC is the first step towards housing abundance in San Francisco.

The DCCC is the governing body of the local Democratic Party. It’s comprised of local Democrats elected by registered Democrats in each Assembly District (there are two), as well as elected Democrat officials who serve as Ex Officio Officers. The San Francisco DCCC represents the City to the National Democratic Party, and makes endorsements on local races.

The current DCCC is out of touch with San Francisco voters. They've routinely opposed pro-housing measures and pro-housing candidates. Most voters in San Francisco don’t know about the DCCC, and even fewer understand its role in local politics. In recent years - starting around 2016 - the SF DCCC has engaged in performative politics and endorsed campaigns and candidates who aren't delivering solutions for our city.

The result has been that today, a majority of SF voters believe San Francisco is on the “wrong track”

To vote in the DCCC elections please make sure you’re a registered Democrat.

You can’t vote for the DCCC in March unless you are a registered Democrat. So check your voter registration here, and make sure your Party Preference says Democratic. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to change your voter registration to be able to vote in the DCCC elections. It’s easy - you can change your party preference here until February 20, 2024.
