Dear Educators,

You are pillars of moral and civic strength in this most challenging time, and all of my colleagues at the Bill of Rights Institute join me in thanking you for showing our nation how to keep calm and carry on. Thank you for your diligence in serving communities across this country.

Civics builds civil society, and what you are doing now in the midst of school closures is a reminder to all Americans that it’s not officials in Washington, D.C., or state capitals who motivate students.

It’s you—working within your communities, doing your jobs faithfully in the toughest of times—who are helping young people find their way.

At BRI we know that your work is never easy. We know it can feel like it’s never done.

We are inspired by your faithfulness to the immense task at hand, and are honored to partner with you.

As we go forward, please tell us ([link removed]) how we can help you and your students.

That is our mission, and that is our common endeavor with you—to give students the gift of an education in self-governance.

BRI is committed to working side-by-side with you in the challenging months to come.

With gratitude,

David J. Bobb, Ph.D.
President
