Hi John -
In just nine days, the world is celebrating the International Day of Clean Energy for the first time ever.
The United Nations established the International Day of Clean Energy as a day all about moving towards a just and inclusive energy future centered around people and the planet, not around corporate greed.
This is significant. The climate movement has been calling for a just energy transition away from fossil fuels for years, and the United Nations – one of the most powerful organizations in shaping our future – finally acknowledged the urgent need to act on the climate crisis by dedicating a special day to it.
John, to honor the International Day of Clean Energy, can you help call on world leaders now to transition to a 100% renewable energy system?
2023 was the hottest year on record.1 We are already starting off the new year with extreme cold weather events across the country. We need world leaders to act now before 2024 turns into another year of climate disasters.
In honor of the International Day of Clean Energy, John, can you send a strong message to world leaders and ask them to commit to a 100% renewable energy system now?
Thank you,
Deborah for 350.org
