That's a value Bethany has led with as our state's Lieutenant Governor – especially when it comes to fighting for our state's retirees.

When retirees were getting the raw end of the deal after a change to state retirement benefits, people spoke up and made it clear that our citizens were not going to accept that.

And Bethany listened. 

She co-chaired the Retiree Healthcare Benefits Advisory Subcommittee and helped set a new gold standard for open dialogue and honest conversation. And thanks to Bethany’s leadership, retirees got to keep their benefits.
