Leonard Leo has been influential in the appointment of anti-democracy judges to courts all across the country. For a judiciary that is supposed to be above petty partisan politics, Leo’s work is exactly the opposite.

With Leonard Leo’s power and Justices like Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito still on the Court, we need to pass the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency (SCERT) Act as soon as possible. This would go a long way to prevent further corruption in our Supreme Court by improving the financial disclosure process and creating an enforceable code of conduct for the Court, something that is sorely lacking right now.

Congress needs to pass the SCERT Act , but without the help of every single person reading this, we can’t make that happen. The SCERT Act is necessary so we can prevent any more judicial interference by Leonard Leo and his ilk.
