Two things remain true (and urgent) after Donald Trump won the Iowa
caucuses by a giant margin:

 1. We can’t let Trump return to the White House.
 2. Trump shouldn’t even be on the ballot, because he’s an
insurrectionist.

Maine and Colorado have already kicked Trump off the ballot because the
U.S. Constitution is crystal clear: officials who’ve taken the oath of
office and engaged in insurrection are barred from holding office. When
Trump tried to overturn the 2020 election results and destroy our
democracy, he made himself ineligible to run for any political office —
especially president!

Our Revolution has been central to the work to kick Trump off the 2024
ballot, including early meetings with Maine’s Secretary of State Shenna
Bellows, who removed Trump from the ballot just two weeks ago.

Working to get Trump off the ballot in more states isn’t the only work
we’re doing to make sure 2024 is an election year where democracy and
progressivism prevails.

Trump voters are clearly energized. But we’re mobilizing progressives to
get out and get active in this battle for democracy. Organizing in 2024 is
about exciting folks around what we can accomplish by electing, and
re-electing, progressive champions at every level of government and
getting active about our issues in the streets and in our communities.

We’ll bring voters to the polls to elect advocates for urgent action on
peace, corruption, climate change, worker empowerment, Medicare for All,
and so many more progressive priorities. This swell of progressive energy
is a major part of what can lift the top of the ticket — President Biden —
to defeat the extreme GOP’s choice, whether it’s Trump or someone else.

This is a lot of work over the next few months and every day is critical.
The more states that bar Trump from the ballot before the Supreme Court
hears his February 8th appeal, the harder it will be for the right-wing
judges on the Court to save him.
