Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve led the fight to make prescription drugs and health care more affordable – and I was gratified to have authored the drug pricing framework that was included in the Inflation Reduction Act, which lowered out-of-pocket drug costs, allows Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices, and caps insulin costs for Medicare recipients.

And as of this month, a $35 per month price cap on insulin took effect for another major manufacturer, giving even more Americans access to affordable treatment.

This is huge progress, but more work remains ahead. Republicans are still trying to slash Medicare and Medicaid funding, and cut affordable health care at every turn.
