Last week, we asked readers like you to participate in our
pre-2024 legislative session survey, asking which issue you most wanted to see lawmakers prioritize. Thousands responded and an overwhelming 66% of
participants said they want lawmakers to take up the initiatives submitted by Let's Go Washington and then send them to the people.
Recently, the Secretary of State certified the income tax initiative and tha reasonable
police pursuit initiative. These initiatives represent the will of the people, and Democrats have a constitutional responsibility to debate them.
However, despite their responsibility, House Democrats voted to table the first of these initiatives on Monday.
Now, more than ever, it is up to people like us to put pressure on Democrats and hold them accountable. The
mainstream media outlets may be turning a blind eye, but we know the importance of staying informed and taking action by calling your legislators and demanding they take up the
initiatives.
