A4TE will work tirelessly to uplift the needs of the trans community and ensure trans people have a real opportunity to participate and succeed in U.S. life.
This merger is an important step forward in our shared mission to create a future where trans people are no less than equal. By combining our strengths, resources, and fierce commitment to justice, we believe we can be a single powerful force on behalf of trans people in the U.S.
Once the merger takes effect, Andy Marra, executive director of TLDEF, and Rodrigo Heng-Lehtinen, executive director of NCTE, will lead the new organization as CEO and Executive Director, respectively. We will also preserve - and even strengthen - the life-saving policy and legal work each of our organizations are known for.
In the coming months, we'll keep you updated on all the developments as our new organization begins to take shape. Your feedback will be invaluable as we write this new chapter together.
