It is our responsibility to work towards their full EU membership! Viktor Orbán’s failed attempt to blackmail the EU is also further proof of the danger of far-right politicians. We also congratulate Moldova on the opening of accession talks, Georgia on its candidate status and Bosnia and Herzegovina on future accession talks once the membership criteria are sufficiently fulfilled.

Poland

Urszula Zielińska joins Polish government

European Green Party co-chairs Mélanie Vogel and Thomas Waitz comment: “We are proud that the Greens are now also taking part in the new government that will work towards a more European and green future for a democratic Poland.” With Zielińska's appointment, Greens now hold positions in seven EU countries. “This is a great inspiration for the upcoming European elections”, Vogel and Waitz conclude.
