Hi team, Susie Lee here.

As a career education advocate and mom of two, I have plenty of experience helping students prepare for final exams.

There’s perhaps no bigger or more important test than this year’s election. So today, I’d like to share some advice that — whether you’re preparing for the SAT or helping us defend a battleground district — could make all the difference.

(Studying may be free, but running a battleground campaign comes at a cost. Would you consider chipping in $10 or $25 — whatever you can afford — right now?) [[link removed]]

Tip #1: Start today.
It would be madness to wake up on November 1st and try to cram 11 months of election preparation into the final few days.

However, many Americans don’t get engaged in the political process until right before Election Day. And the truth is that procrastination comes at a cost.

Slow and steady wins the (battleground) race. From registering voters to training volunteers to sharing our message district-wide, building a winning coalition takes time. We’ve got to make every day count.

Tip #2: Find your motivation.
A battleground race like this has plenty of ups and downs. But even in those difficult moments, we can’t let ourselves get discouraged. That’s why it’s crucial to find your “why.”

Do you want a better future for working families? Education opportunities? Equality for all?

Are you passionate about healthcare, choice, climate change, immigration, gun reform, or worker’s rights?

Do you care most about protecting our democracy, standing up for what’s right, or building a better world for the generations after us?

Your reasons for being a part of this movement are important, and I’m so incredibly grateful you’ve put your faith in me.

Tip #3: Know your strengths.
Maybe you’re highly organized, love meeting new people, or are a quick learner. Whatever they are, your unique strengths make this campaign stronger.

In a battleground race like ours, there are countless ways to make an impact: signing up to volunteer, talking to friends and neighbors, putting up a yard sign, joining an event, registering to vote, or making a contribution.

Friend, I’m so glad you’re here pitching in however and wherever you can. If you’re able, will you pitch in $10 or $25 right now to support our campaign and help defend this battleground district? [[link removed]]
