Hi friend,

Earlier this month, we shared the incredible news that California Environmental Voters Education Fund is a co-sponsor for the United States Senate Debate happening in California — and we’re less than a week away!

On Monday, January 22, candidates Steve Garvey, Barbara Lee, Katie Porter, and Adam Schiff will make their case to represent the Golden State in Washington, D.C.

This is one of the most competitive seats of a lifetime, and Californians have a responsibility to ensure we’re electing a climate champion who reflects our state’s values.

Join us on Debate Day by tuning into Fox 11 Los Angeles, Fox 2 Bay Area, or iHeartRadio at 6 p.m. on January 22, 2024 – or online through live streams available on FOXLA.com and POLITICO.com.

Hope you can tune in next Monday!

We have some incredible news to share with you—California Environmental Voters Education Fund is a partner for the United States Senate Debate between candidates Steve Garvey, Barbara Lee, Katie Porter, and Adam Schiff!!

This is a testament to the impact we've been able to make advocating for climate and environmental solutions.

Mark your calendars!

U.S. Senate Debate Night: California will be co-moderated by Fox 11’s Elex Michaelson and Politico’s Melanie Mason at USC’s Bovard Auditorium. The debate will air live and commercial free on Fox 11 Los Angeles, Fox 2 Bay Area, and iHeartRadio at 6 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024.

There aren't too many states that are able to send a strong climate candidate to Washington, D.C.

But with an open U.S. Senate seat on the 2024 ballot, Californians have that opportunity. As the fifth largest economy in the world, California has an outsized responsibility to model climate action, so we can — and must — make climate a key issue in this race.

As we approach the 2030 deadline scientists have given us to make the necessary climate investments, our elected officials will need to push D.C. to create a strong vision on climate at the national level. Though California has made some strides on climate action, our Senator will need to bring other states along in this critical work.

We encourage you to watch the debate to ensure that our state elects a U.S. Senator who is responsive to the needs of all Californians. By tuning in, you’ll contribute to the collective voice that will shape California’s representation in the Senate, reflecting our state’s values, and pushing for policies that align with our vision for a sustainable future.

See you on Debate Day — Monday, January 22!
