Friends -
Last night, Donald Trump won the Iowa Caucus, cementing him as the frontrunner and probable Republican nominee for president in 2024.
If you woke up with a feeling of deep unease that another Trump term in office is possible, you are not alone.
Next up for the Republicans is New Hampshire, then Nevada and South Carolina.
Then, on February 27th, it's Michigan. That means not only will our state be decisive in determining the outcome of the presidency and the Senate, it may first be decisive in crowning Trump as the Republican nominee.
So what does that mean for us? It may mean lots of visits from Republican candidates and surrogates rallying and organizing their supporters in the next few weeks. It may mean ads on the air. In our race, we’re already seeing TV ads go up from self-funders and a GOP super PAC.
All of this gives Republicans, and by extension our eventual opponent, a bit of a head-start in campaigning. And with a race as close as ours is sure to be, that's something we can't afford.
So while Republicans get set to rally in Michigan, I need your help to start a bit of a rally of our own:
