Hi John,
No Labels is hosting a press conference this Thursday, January 18, at 10 AM ET to share some important news.
We want the entire No Labels community to join us, which you can do by RSVPing here.
No Labels has spent two years working to get ballot access across the country in response to a simple and unequivocal demand by Americans for another choice in the 2024 election. We are gaining momentum every day. In fact, we just learned today that we have secured ballot access in Kansas, our 14th state. We also won a favorable decision from a judge in Arizona who denied a gadfly local candidate’s request to run for office on the No Labels ballot line.
However, some very powerful interests do not want you to have that choice. They’re going to extreme lengths to keep out competition they don’t want, and the latest example comes from President Biden’s home state of Delaware.
That’s where the state’s partisan election commissioner, Anthony J. Albence, is now trying to block No Labels Delaware from getting ballot access in the state.
There’s no justification for what he’s doing. As No Labels state chair Ben duPont wrote today, Albence is making a “mockery of the democratic process” and is “engaged in a clear and shameful attempt to eliminate competition for President Biden in his home state.”
You can read Ben’s full account of the outrage here.
Watch No Labels chief strategist Ryan Clancy break the news on The Story with Martha MacCallum here.
Unfortunately, this is part of a pattern. There is an escalating effort underway nationwide to subvert No Labels’ ballot access efforts and limit your choices at the ballot box in 2024 and stop competition.
But we will not be deterred. The No Labels movement will continue to move forward to ensure Americans have the choice they want and deserve in 2024.
I look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
Stay tuned for more updates,
Margaret
